My Bio

As a proud graduate of R. L. Turner High School and a lifelong Carrollton–Farmers Branch ISD student, I am deeply connected to this community and the schools that helped shape who I am today.

I am running for the CFBISD Board of Trustees because I believe every child deserves a strong educational foundation. As an educator with over a decade of experience in public schools, I have served as a teacher, instructional coach, and bilingual coordinator. I have seen firsthand how strong early learning and classroom support can change the trajectory of a child’s life.

My experience in our schools gives me a clear understanding of the challenges students, teachers, and families face. At a time when public schools are experiencing increased financial pressures, it is critical to have leadership that makes thoughtful, student-centered decisions and uses resources wisely.

As the daughter of Spanish speaking immigrant parents, I understand the importance of ensuring every family feels welcomed, heard, and connected.

I am committed to listening, leading with integrity, and advocating for all students in CFBISD.

My Key Issues

Strong Student Outcomes Through High Quality and Future Ready Learning

Every student deserves a strong academic foundation that prepares them for success in school and in life. This begins with early literacy, ensuring students develop the reading skills they need to access all content areas, and continues through rigorous instruction, advanced coursework, and meaningful career and technical education pathways. As learning and the workforce continue to evolve, our schools must also adapt by providing engaging, innovative learning experiences that build critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving skills. My focus is on ensuring all students, regardless of background, have access to high quality instruction, strong support systems, and opportunities that prepare them for college, careers, and a rapidly changing future.

Responsible, Transparent, and Student Centered Leadership

CFBISD is facing important financial and enrollment challenges that require thoughtful, strategic leadership. I am committed to responsible budgeting that prioritizes classroom instruction and direct support for students while carefully reviewing spending to ensure resources are used effectively. Transparency is essential to rebuilding trust with our community, which means clear communication, accessible information, and meaningful opportunities for families to be involved in decision making. Every decision should be guided by data, long term sustainability, and a commitment to keeping students at the center, so our district remains strong, stable, and accountable to the community it serves.

Supporting Teachers and Strengthening School Communities

Teachers are at the heart of student learning, and supporting them is one of the most important ways to improve student outcomes. Our district must remain competitive in attracting and retaining certified, high quality educators, especially as we face ongoing teacher shortages. This includes competitive pay, manageable workloads, access to strong instructional resources, and meaningful opportunities for teachers to have a voice in decision making. At the same time, strong schools depend on strong partnerships with families and the community. By fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, and support, we can create school environments where teachers feel valued, students feel connected, and communities feel proud of their schools.
